Alice Ronchi (born in Ponte dell’Olio, 1989) lives and works in Milan. She received her MFA from the Sandberg Instituut of Amsterdam in 2015 after graduating in 2012 at NABA academy in Milan where she currently teaches Sculpture, the international english course. She is a visual artist who seeks the beauty and fragility of the human soul; narrated with tenderness through a poetic language often characterized by forms reduced to their essence, with the intent to convey — with simplicity and purity — the complex emotions from which the work originates. In 2021 she designed the Formula 1 trophy for the Imola Grand Prix, commissioned by Pirelli in collaboration with Pirelli HangarBicocca. In 2022 her public sculpture ‘E’ Amore’ made for “Una Boccata d’Arte” festival, curated by Elpis foundation and Galleria Continua located in Montemarcello village, become permanent.In 2024, she made a permanent painting installation for Malpensa Airport, curated by the MAGA museum.She exhibited at Galleria civica di Trento, Trento, (2015); Macro Museum, Rome and Stadgalerie, Kiel (both 2016), MamBo, Bologna (2018), MAXXI, Rome (2019), GAM, Turin (2020), Palazzo Borromeo, Ambasciata d’Italia – Santa Sede del Vaticano, Rome (2021), Palazzo Ducale, Genoa, ICA, Milan (both 2023), Museo MAC Lissone (2024).
