The performance “SENZA TITOLO” by VENERDISABATO unfolds in different areas of the palace, interacting with the space and attempting to sonically traverse it.
Moving through the rooms, Luca walks around and observes the artworks. Once he chooses a piece, he stops and freestyles, creating improvised lines and rhymes inspired by what the artwork evokes, directing his words into the walkie-talkie. Meanwhile, Sara sits alone in a different room, with no way of seeing the artwork Luca is referring to; she listens and receives the description via radio. When Luca says “over,” Sara responds by trying to guess the artwork.
In this way, the piece reaches completion through its “technical data,” and its transformation into words spreads throughout the palace, inviting visitors to look for the source of the sound and the artwork just described.
Once the performance ends, the walkie-talkies remain in the rooms of the palace, continuously looping the recording of what took place. The words about the exhibition spread again, echoing off the artworks they describe and carrying their narrative throughout the environment.
The performance will take place on Friday, December 19 and Saturday, December 20 at three different times: 11:00 AM, 3:00 PM, and 6:00 PM.
