Flavio Favelli (born in Florence, 1967) lives and works in Montepastore (BO). After earning a degree in Oriental History at the University of Bologna, he participated in the Link Project (1995–2001). He has exhibited personal projects at Centro Pecci in Prato, 176 Project Space in London (2005), Fondazione Sandretto in Turin, Maison Rouge in Paris (2007), MAXXI in Rome (2015), GAM in Turin, and Museo di Capodimonte (2022).
He participated in the exhibition Italics at Palazzo Grassi in 2008, and in two Venice Biennales: the 50th, curated by F. Bonami (Clandestini), and the 55th at the Italian Pavilion, curated by B. Pietromarchi. He created Sala d’Attesa at the Certosa di Bologna, a space designed to host secular funeral ceremonies.
